Oh my God!
That’s the first thing I said when I met my class for the first time last Thursday. I had previously been observing a group of 2on of ESO for two hours but nothing to do with my group of 3rd of ESO! In my first class I found them to be extremely chatty and a quite rude. Obviously there were some exceptions, but the truth is that coming in the class and observing the way they behaved and talked to the teacher made me be slightly scared of them. It’s a group of 29 students, some of them suffering from disorders, but, you know what? I like it. Maybe it’s quite contradictory to say that, but I’ve always preferred starting with a difficult group, now that my tutor can help me, than having non-troubled students and therefore not having the possibility to face difficult situations in my first encounter with teenagers. It’s going to be a challenge for me indeed! I’ll let you know more about my teaching experiences, if I survive!
Welcome!
Hi everyone!
My name is Anabel and I’m doing the CAP in Bellaterra (UAB). I’ve been assigned to do the practicum in IES. DAMIÀ CAMPENY, in Mataró (where I live!). In this blog, I’ll be writing everything I observe and learn from my tutor and my group, as well as my teaching experiences and things of interest while doing the practicum in this high school. I hope you find it useful for your future what I’ll be writing here!
